8.10pm: Launch of Failte go Corofin Brochure. Corofin Commuity Hall.
8.20pm: Official Festival Opening by Paul Minihan. Corofin Commuity Hall.
8.30pm: History Talk. Cumann Staire is Dúchais Chora Finne host lecture on the Contribution of Corofin native Justice Seamus Henchy 1917-2009, former Supreme Court Judge, to the development of equality and inclusiveness in contemporary Irish Society. Corofin Commuity Hall. (info)

Sat. Apr 29th
10.30am – 12.00pm: Marie’s Burren Ramble. Led by local guide Marie McGauran, this walk is at a leisurely pace and takes in Mullaghmore within the Burren National Park. Meeting point: Corofin Community Hall. Cost: €10 per person. To book call Marie on +353 (0)86 8219441. (info)

10.00am – 1.00pm: Corofin Festival Market. The Festival Market, organised by CHAF, will feature lots of stands with a wide variety of goods and services. Free event. (info)
12.00pm – 2.00pm: Family Car Treasure Hunt. A popular fun event for all the family. Starting from Corofin Community Hall. Allow 2 hours to complete. Entry €10 per car. Sponsored by Shannon Trophies. (info)
12.30pm: Fun Frisbee Golf. Corofin Community Sports Field. (info)
2.00pm: Right-Brain Challenge. Drawing workshop at Morning Dew Café. Come along and try your hand! €15 p.p. (includes supplies). Places limited, booking advisable. (info)
4.00pm: Annual World Stone Throwing Championships & Hang Tough. Corofin hosts the 22nd world series at Bofeys Quinn’s Beer Garden. World titles for men and ladies to be contested so make sure you have a go. €5 entry per contestant. Re-entry allowed and encouraged!! Also Hanging Tough Competition. (info)

Mon. May 1st
9.45am: Clifden Hill Loop Walk. Led my Brendan McGrath. Meet Lough Inchiquin car park. Dress appropriately. €10 pp. (info)
12.30pm: Festival & Fancy Dress Parade. Corofin Time Machine. If you want to go back to One Million Years BC or Back to the Future, or even if the present day suits you just fine, you are in charge, you get to set the clock. Just make sure you arrive in time to join in the time travel fun! Great prizes for most original entries. Entry €2 for fancy dress competition, floats go free. Starts at Corofin Community Hall. 2.00pm: Lark at the Lake. A family fun day in the magical setting of Inchiquin Lake. Bring a rug, sit relax and enjoy. Games, Animal Road Show, Dog Show, Open Air Music, Stalls, BBQ, Horseshow Throwing & Face Painting. €5 entry, €10 per family (a nominal charge may apply to take part in some games with prizes for the winners).
