8.30pm: Revolution in Colour & Festival Opening. Presented by Cumann Staire is Dúchais Chora Finne this unique film which uses newly colourised archival film of Ireland’s revolutionary years featuring 1916, the War of Independence and the tragic Civil War. Fri. May 4th
6.00pm: Corofin Heritage Trail Guided Walk. Join local guide Pius Murray for a fascinating 2.5km (90 mins) trek through our local heritage. Meet outside St Patrick’s Hall. Booking recommended at 087 9828173. Adults €5, Children U-16 free. (info)

10.00am – 1.00pm: Clifden Hill Walking Tour. Join local expert Brendan Mcgrath for a guided walk up Clifden Hill. Meet at Corofin Grotto. €10 adults, children free. (info)
10.30am – 12.30pm: Myths & Legends Bus Tour. An informal tour of some local sites associated with myths, legends and local historical characters. Includes stop for tea & scones at Dysart O’Dea Castle. Booking advisable 086 2646767 / corofinica@gmail.com. Charge €15 to cover costs. (info)
8.30pm: Irish Best Beard & Moustache Championships. Come along to Crowleys for the 6th annual competition, where the country’s mightiest beards battle for All-Ireland titles in various championship categories. Do you have what it takes to be a category winner or perhaps overall All-Ireland Champion? Competitors €10. Spectators free entry in Crowley’s Pub marquee with DJ and BBQ. Entertainment by Half Cut. 12.00pm – 4.00pm: Corofin Festival Market. Market evening at St Patrick’s Hall showcasing the best of local produce and crafts. Free event. (info)
12.30pm – 2.30pm: Family Car Treasure Hunt. A popular fun event for all the family. Starting from St Patrick’s Hall. Allow 2 hours to complete. Entry €5 per car. Sponsored by Shannon Trophies. (info)
4.30pm: Annual World Stone Throwing Championships. Corofin hosts the 18th world series at Campbell’s Yard behind Inchiquin Inn. World titles for men and ladies to be contested so make sure you have a go. €5 entry per contestant. Re-entry allowed and encouraged!! (info)
Evening: Pub Entertainment. The craic continues in all of the local pubs. (info)

Mon. May 7th
12.30pm: Festival & Fancy Dress Parade. The parade theme for this year is ‘The Fairytale of Corofin’. Starting from St Patrick’s Hall. Great prizes for most original entries, trophy for best float. Entry €2 for fancy dress competition, floats go free. (info)
2.00pm: Lark at the Lake. Continuing the family day out and winding up our festival in style. Join us at the beautiful Lake Inchiquin amenity area for open-air music, boat trips, pony rides, barbeque, dog show (3.30pm), games and bouncy castle, stalls and fun. Singers & musicians welcome. Bring your rug and picnic. (Relocate to St Patrick’s Hall if too wet/windy.) (info)
